What You'll Learn
FedNow proved that U.S. banks can move money instantly, around the clock, at scale. But instant is not the same thing as programmable, and a payment message is not the same thing as a programmable asset. This course draws a clear, source-grounded line between what FedNow was built to do and what tokenization, tokenized deposits, and regulated payment stablecoins can now do on top of it: conditional payment logic, delivery-versus-payment settlement, and continuous cross-border reach that was previously unavailable in an instant environment.
This presentation gives financial institution leaders a practitioner-level, non-hyped view of where tokenization actually stands today, what it means for deposit retention and fee income, and what a board and examiner will expect from a governance program before the institution moves.
