What You'll Learn
The BSA Bootcamp is a comprehensive three-part training designed to strengthen participants’ understanding of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) frameworks within financial institutions. Across the three webinars, participants gain a foundational to advanced grasp of BSA regulatory expectations, reporting obligations, internal controls, and evolving compliance challenges.
Participants will learn essential recordkeeping standards, recognize “red flags” of suspicious activity, and understand the implications of enforcement actions. They will explore best practices for conducting BSA audits, ensuring independence and appropriate scope, evaluating the effectiveness of compliance programs, and addressing deficiencies. Finally, participants learn to identify inherent and residual risks related to customers, products, and geographies, apply data-driven methodologies, and integrate regulatory guidance from FinCEN, OFAC, and the FFIEC.
Together, the bootcamp provides a structured, practical roadmap for establishing, evaluating, and maintaining a robust, risk-based BSA/AML compliance framework.
