About This Course

This session explains the unique risks and considerations of lending to religious organizations, such as churches, synagogues, and mosques. Participants will learn key metrics and how to obtain those from the financial statement package. A primary focus will be on industry-specific templates and interpretation. This analysis then drives loan structuring decisions.  This training is designed for credit professionals, lenders, workout officers, and risk managers who want to strengthen their underwriting and credit analysis skills.

Joe Davis has been in the banking industry for over 25 years, primarily in commercial credit and lending roles, including serving as Chief Credit Officer of a $1.2 billion community bank.  Joe has extensive knowledge of credit analysis, portfolio monitoring, and risk management.  Joe earned an MBA from University of Michigan-Flint, a BA in Economics from Michigan State University, and completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
