About This Course

Cash is being rebuilt on programmable ledgers, and the rebuild is happening on two tracks at once. On one track, payment stablecoins issued under the GENIUS Act, with full reserve backing, monthly attestation, and no interest or yield to holders. On the other, tokenized deposits: ordinary bank and credit union liabilities recorded on a distributed ledger, still insured, still funding loans. Both promise around-the-clock, programmable settlement. Only one of them stays on your balance sheet. This session gives banking and credit union leaders a working map of tokenized cash infrastructure as it stands today. We review definitions, current rule proposals, and existing infrastructure to explain a complex landscape. We will also cover the different roles institutions can play in the ecosystem and a sample roadmap to bring back to leadership.
